Transition from the superfluid phase to the normal phase in nuclei far from stability

چکیده
The contributions of thermal quasiparticle correlations and of continuum coupling upon the superfluid properties of neutron-rich Ni isotopes are studied within the modified BCS approximation at finite temperature. The effect of thermal quasiparticle correlations is included using a secondary Bogolyubov-type canonical transformation explicitly involving the quasiparticle occupation numbers. The effect of continuum coupling is taken into account via the finite widths of the resonant 1 states. It is shown that the combined effects of thermal quasiparticle correlations and of continuum coupling wash out the sharp superfluidnormal phase transition given by the standard BCS calculations. Effect of Amorphous Silica Addition on Martensitic Phase Transformation of Zirconia and Investigation of its Tetragonal Structure Stability Mechanisms
This work is focused on the effect of amorphous SiO2 addition on the phase transformation and microstructural evolution of ZrO2 particles. Considering the structural similarities between the amorphous ZrO2 and its tetragonal structure, XRD results showed initial nucleation of metastable tetragonal ZrO2 from its amorphous matrix upon heat treatment. This metastable phase is unstable in pure ZrO2...
متن کاملVISCOSITY COEFFICIENTS OF THE A-PHASE OF SUPERFLUID He AT LOW TEMPERATURES
It has been shown that the Boltzmann equation for the viscosity of the A-phase of superfluid 3He at low temperatures has the same form as for a normal Ferrni liquid. The viscosity coefficients A, B, C, D and E are derived exactly. The h , parameter plays an important role in determining the temperature dependence of the viscosity coefficients

In this paper, formulation of Modified Ginsberg – Landau theory of second grade phase transitions has been expressed. Using this theory, termodynamic properties, such as heat capacity, energy, entropy and order parameters ofandnuclei has been investigated. In the heat capacity curve, calculated according to tempreture, a smooth peak is observed which is assumed to be a signature of transition f...
متن کاملبهینه سازی مدل BCS برای سیستمهای کوچک و محاسبه خواص ترمودینامیکی هستههای Mo97-96
In this paper, we have presented the optimized BCS formalism using the isothermal probability distribution. The effect of statistical fluctuations on thermodynamical properties of nuclei has been investigated. The average gap parameter is calculated and then the energy, the entropy and the heat capacity are evaluated. The resulting values are compared with results of the standard BCS and the ...
متن کاملA Phase Transition between Superfluid Phases with Hysteresis
We present the preliminary results of our studies of superfluid 3He in a 0.6 μm thick slab using NMR. Below Tc the A phase is observed, and at low pressures the region of stability of the A phase extends down to the lowest temperatures reached, as described elsewhere. At pressures above 3.2 bar another, so far unidentified phase is observed at low temperatures. In this article we focus on the b...
